[GATE 2014 Result Updates] The GATE 2014 (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) exam is fully Computer based online exam this year.The exam is Scheduled between 1 Feb to 2 March, 2014. So now It is almost the end.

As per the Official schedule the expected date of GATE 2014 result announcement  is 28 March, 2014. As we seen the last year more than 12 Lakh students appeared for the exam and this year also the number is very big.

How to Calculate GATE 2014 Score?

GATE score= Sq + (St - Sq) [(M - Mq)/ (Mt- Mq)]

In the above formula,
M = marks obtained by the candidate
Mq= qualifying marks for general category candidate
Mt= is the mean of marks of top 10 of the candidates who appeared in the paper
Sq= 350
St= 900

The formula is the same for all branches.

GATE Score is valid for 2 years and generally it is used to get admission in premiere institutes like IITs in India for Higher Studies. From last few year many PSU are also hiring through GATE score.So it has a great value if you get good marks in the GATE exam.
