IBPS the most sought after name today for all graduate youngsters
of India foo their Job. It is gateway to become Officers and assistants in 19 Indian Public Sector Banks and providing maximum
no. of job vacancies today.
IBPS stands for Institute of Banking Personnel Selection. It
is a platform to conduct written exams, interviews and all formalities of
recruitment on behalf of Indian Public Sector Banks.

Why Banking Sector for a Job?
Indian economy today is going through a very difficult period,
that’s why Private sector of India is not able to produce enough no. of jobs.
They are continuously decreasing no. of hire. Some big problems with private
Sector are Job Security and uncertain working hours. By seeing all these, people
are heading towards Govt. sector.
India Banking Sector
is vast and after nationalization of banks in 1969 and 1980 there is maximum
number of retirements during the period of 5-6years now. So the banks have to
fill the vacancies as soon as possible.
After the guidelines of RBI in India there should be a bank branch
for every 5000 people. So banks are exploring their services by opening a large
no. of bank branches in India and abroad. Recently SBI inaugurated 101 Branch
in a Day.
After these all news it is said that in next 5 years Indian banking
sector have to fill almost 5lakhs of vacancies. So there is huge no. of
opportunities.
What is IBPS Exam?
Presently IBPS is conducting four different Exams in a year
and every exam held within a period of 3-4 months. Four different Exams of IBPS
are:
- IBPS PO (Probationary Officer) Exam
- IBPS Specialist Officers Exam
- IBPS RRB (Regional Rural Bank) PO and Assistant Exam
- IBPS Clerk Exam.
What is the Selection Process for different Exams?
The process for above four Exams is quite similar to each
other as follows:
- Common Written Test
- Interviews
- Allotment of Posts
